Nadine Jansen On The Beach

THE MAGIC OF MARKETS BORDEAUX.

In Bordeaux there is something I have fallen in love with the atmosphere: The Sunday morning market, a flea market of St Michel, where you can buy anything! Everything second hand and most colorful things ... I could be there for hours just to watch! And across Capuchin Market .... the traditional food market, located in the center, and very early life is filled with breakfast and more Cocktail evening with ......¡ I can not go without leaving a French sausage! hehehe ... and at other times as needed to arrange purchase of a small picnic by the river! Beer, olives (Moroccan style), sausage (in esta ocasión de ajo),queso(un placer!!)sidra dulce y un buen pan......lo demás..viene solo, paseo por el Garonne y ¡a disfrutar amigos!

I love small street markets, flea markets, second hand, farmers´ markets, jumble sales.... well in Bordeaux you can find it all. At the farmers´ and fisher market of Capuchin you can get fresh fish, oysters, regional wines, cheese (hell yeah...), saussages (just ask Hector:)), oriental spices and fresh ecological fruits and vegetables.. It´s every cooks paradise, a effusion of colours, flavours and aromas..and it´s open every day..
so last weekend- attracted by all these delicous treasures- we did a bit of shopping at the market... and than ejoyed a lovely picnic in front of the palace, watching the river....well let´s say it was a perfect lunch:)
But that´s not the only marked in Bdx... every sunday (and some other weekdays too!!!) there is a flea market at the square of St. Michel. In the shadow of the church´s campanile you can find literally EVERYTHING. Second hand clothes, furniture, books, dishes, toys, pictures... And it has so much of this nostalgic, old school atmosphere... wow... we totally love it!

szorcik: why in Poland there is no longer old-fashioned colorful marketplaces? All long pressed the big barracks, containers resembling supermarket rather than the once ubiquitous, charming markets where you can buy everything was, lively, full of people bargaining in August, offering everything your heart desires, and everything rather not associate themselves with the subject for sale ... Thankfully, in Bordeaux, we were able to discover such a place-flea market beside the cathedral and the bazaar of the Capuchins, where he bestowed in August of regional treats, which with great taste, and with trembling ears wpalaszowalismy at the palace, patrzac na Garonne... ech:) Idealne niedzielne popoludnie!
